    Actually, those tracks were ripped, tortured, and then rendered to an undisclosed country before adding them to the playlist.

    Erm, here in the US it is legal to rip songs from CDs you own to play on your iPod. It's called "fair use".

    Or are we going to demand that the President produce the copies of the Beatles CDs that he owns?

    hey, he "invaded" a country for oil. it was only a matter of time, until he puts illegal music in his mp3 player. ;) :p

    Exactly. Why did the article even feel the need to mention UK laws? No US laws were broken, therefore, everything the President has done is perfectly legal.

    Possibly because the article appeared on a UK website.

    and it wasn't the president that added the songs, but rather Bono.
    So depending on where he was at the time he ripped the songs he might have broken a few laws.
