    Hello,

    Can anyone please help me?

I need to play video files in the .AVI format in QT7.

The info on the file given i QT is:

    , 1032 x 848, 256
16 bit Heltal (Little Endian), Mono, 22,050 kHz

I have tried several other players as well as installing flip4mac.

I used to work. Could this be something with new update for QT7??

    Thank you. Kamban

Flip4Mac is intended for .wmv files, not .avi files. Most .avi files are DivX-encoded. If you download and install the DivX QuickTime codec and the new Perian codecs, you should be set.

Is there any point installing DivX and Perian? Perian already includes the DivX codec.

    Thank you.

    I will try your advice.

The strange part is that it used to work. And suddenly QT asks for "missing plugin" or something similar. Hmmm.

But thank you anyway for taking the time.

    Kamban. :)
