I have just ripped a DVD and am trying to play it use the DVD Player. However after I select the 5 VOB files which make up the main feature it says "The media type is not supported." What should I do?

I'm not too sure if you've tried this...

But through DVD player, go to File>Open DVD Media> then select the entire folder that contains all those fragmented files.

It should work. Hope that helps.

It depends how you ripped your media...

You should have a Video_TS and an Audio_TS folders inside the movie folder. The Audio folder is empty, BUT DON"T ERASE IT. You will need it if you ever want to burn the media you just ripped.

Use the Open Video TS... under the File Menu in DVD Player. Then go inside the folder and select the Video_TS file. This should work.

If you ripped it differently then you should be able to open the individual .VOB files and put them in order on a playlist using VLC.

You can get VLC Media Player at this link.

VLC can also open up almost everyother video file and you can switch what audio tracks you listen to, if you want to listen to a different language.

Hope this helps. :) Good luck.
