    i am having a HUGE problem trying to find a way to obtain the 10.2.3 update of OS X, and would like to know if someone out there could guide me in the right direction--
    i would like to try to buy a CD of this update instead of downloading it, because downloading has been a NIGHTMARE!!!. but the problem of trying to obtain a CD so far has been that the Mac stores only have 10.2.4, but i need the earlier version for what i'm doing.

    MY QUESTION IS: is there a used mac store in the U.S., where i can find the older 10.2.3 version of OS X?--
    thanks =====

    Here, you can find 10.2.3 here.

    If you need some software to help you download it, use iGetter.

    Hope this helps.:D

    well, when i put the 10.2.3 cd in, it gave me this box that sez something like "stuffit expander unexpectedly quit.."--so i tried over ...and over again...with the same result...
    then, it was suggested that i re-download stuffit expander, so i did...that all worked fine....but NOW i'm at this box that is asking me to direct the 10.2.3 info somewhere, and i told it to go to different places, all with the same NONresponse....like, i tried routing it to my utilies folder, and then my main hard drive, and then tried the desktop---it didn't respond to any of the above....now i'm not sure what to do...do you have any suggestions?----
    thanks again

    The redirect is probably asking you where you want to put the .pkg file when you open it in Stuffit Expander. Unless you aren't the system administrator, you should be able to expand the file to the desktop. I haven't had problems using the latest version of Stuffit Expander. Make sure you have that, and if all else fails, is downloading from Apple entirely out of the question? I hope my rambles have been of some use.;)

    yeah, it was asking me where i wanted to put the pkg file, you're right... but being that i didn't know what i was doing, made every box & every question the computer asked so daunting... like i was suddenly having to read & understand chinese or something!---i think i panicked and just started pressing buttons, pretty soon the computer's like "what the hell are you doing!"....so, luckily a neighbor, who's a unix programmer, happened to come by ...it turns out, the stuffit expander was unable to unpack it cuz it was having to rewrite the contents to read it, and it couldn't do that from the cd as it was not a rewritable cd...but when we copied it to the desktop, and then unpacked & opened it, it all worked out fine---whew!...did that make sense???...-but thanks for all yer response and time---that you replied at all was very cool of you---and i very much appreciate that you took the time to do that --it's really good to know there's folks out there who have the heart to help!
    thanks again--and sorry for such long replies---
    amy:D :D
