Make sure that you're pushing whatever buttons are on your keyboard/mouse while it is searching. I have a microsoft bt mouse and I have to push the button for it to find it. Otherwise, it will search for ages and find nothing.

    What Brand???

Is it the little D-Link??? If so there is a firmware update floating around the net. My BT became much more reliable when I updated it.

Make sure you have the newest firmware for all of your products. Another thing are the batteries in your peripherials make sure they are not old. When i bought my wireless keyboard the batteries did not last a day and it constantly lost the connection.

Do you use the bluetooth wizard to hook up with your peripherals? Does your mac see that you are bluetooth enabled now?
