After upgrading to Lion, one of my External hard drives (The back-up one!) started having trouble staying on finder. It would then spit out the error about ejecting the disk the wrong way. So I went to Disk Utility to try to repair it. So far I've got three different errors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HykYuV3s-gQ shows all three errors. 1st error. 0:00-0:05 2nd error: 0:05-0:13 Current error: 0:14-0:22 What I think of the newest version of Mac OS X: 0:23-0:33 The current error is... Verifying and repairing partition map for Ext Hard Disk Media Checking prerequisites Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map Error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup. I've tried four different cords, both USB and Firewire. During the first two errors, the hard drive was showing up on Finder for a short time, then going away. On the third error (now) it doesn't even show up on Finder. Notice in the video that the external hard-drive shows up, and then goes away and spits out an error. Then it comes back and rinse and repeats it's self, it stays on for about 30 seconds, then goes away for a few seconds, then shows back up. Also, notice that on the current error, this external hard-drive isn't dark like all the other hard drives.
