For some reason, since a few days ago, my 1.83GHz mbp always stops responding after a few hours of operation... When this happens, I always have iChat, Safari, Real Player, Microsoft Messenger, and maybe Mail opened. When I force quit programs the windows will close, but when u look at the dock the black triangle stays. Sometimes even the dock, along with Finder will stop responding. Everything will be fine for a while after a restart, but the problem will occur again.

Can someone tell me what the problem is?

Open up Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder and make sure you're looking at All Processes. When you find your computer acting strangely, check Activity Monitor to see if it can tell you whether there's a certain process causing it. :)
