Procedure for updating from .Mac trial to purchased MobileMe

    What are the steps to going from a 30-day trial in progress to a paid account?

    My .Mac trial has a few weeks left. Meanwhile, I paid for MobileMe membership and Apple sent me an activation code.

    I'm probably missing something obvious, but now what?

    If I log into my trial account, under Account Summary it says I can enter a credit card, but I don't need to pay again. Under Account Options -> Upgrades, it says I can "Skip Trial" but I don't know what that means.

    If I go to www.me.com/activate, the choices are
    1. Create a new account with a new member name
    2. Reactivate an expired account
    3. Renew an existing account
    but there is no choice for "Activate/upgrade trial account".

    The .Mac to MobileMe transition FAQ doesn't address this. I don't see the answer in MobileMe Support either.

    What's the secret?

    I would imagine you would want to 'renew an existing account'

    "renew an existing account" seems the most likely option.
