I just bought a psp and a 1gb memory stick to go with it, i was looking to put some pics and stuff on it using my macbook pro but to my surprise the thing wont even show up on the desktop when i plug it in!!

ive tried it on my old emac and old iMac and it works perfectly fine!

...and the usb ports on the mb pro work fine with anything else but it seems like they dont even detect the psp?!?!?

can someone help me out? do i need to download drivers or something for the PSP to work?!?!

Have you tried reformatting the memory stick? Settings < System settings < Format memory stick.

Does it work with the 32mb memory stick which should have come with your system? Could be an issue with the gb stick.

That's all I can think of.

Strange, I also have a PSP and a 1gb memory stick and my iMac immediately recognizes it as soon as I plug it in :O maybe you should try an application called PSPWare, it's for managing your PSP content from the Mac (like iTunes). Get the trial and see if the app "see's" your PSP.. hope it helps
