Dear god no.
WTF are they trying to do with the PS3? First devs worry over it so they drop exclusive titles, consumers aren't buying them. So they think it's wise to bring a 3rd model into the fray?!
I know I'm just a consumer and they're a huge corporation. But I'm absolutely lost to what their reasons for this are.
Strange! That price-point seems insane to me. It's way higher than the average PC purchase price-point or the average HDTV price-point.
Well, good luck to them.
What can I say? Get a great, big Sony, or get a wii, little Nintendo.
Once more into the breach, dear friends.
Seriously though what are they smoking in Sony HQ
No video game consoles have ever survived above the $500 pricepoint, I dont think the PS3 is going to be an exception (and the $499 PS3 is a joke, no wifi and the OS fills up most of the small HD) An even more expensive PS3 isnt going to solve anything; and honestly, I dont see any of the suspected new features being worth any more $$.
xbox360 and wii are going to be where its at, for some time anyway.
do we have someone to give a St. Crispin's Day speech
△ what is worse is that they had a complete failure with the PSX Media center in Japan. Where the Japanese decided an expensive console media center was simply not for them. So why on Earth hasn't Sony learned from that failed venture is the real mystery.
This has doom written all over it.
because they decide when the next generation starts and the boardroom is out to lunch
Who knows what the price will actually be and what all they're planning to implement...it could actually be cool...maybe...
I'd like to see final figures and specs before passing judgment...could be really cool...but might not as well...
