Anyone know if it will cause me issues? will having 10 on my phone prompt my watch to upgrade too?

It will not update your watch as there is no public beta for the watch and it will probably not mess up your watch. iOS 10 has not messed up mine, but you are running a beta YMMV.

I get more disconnections than before but usually turning my watch off and back on fixes it.

You can't update the watch to watchos3 without first installing the watchOS beta profile from the developer site. So long as you don't do this, you won't have any problems, other than bugs that can be expected from running a beta, which at this point are few and far between anyway. iOS 10 is nearly ready for primetime.

The only issue I've noticed running the iOS public beta and my Apple Watch is that sometimes my phone and watch both vibrate for an email alert. Hardly a big deal, but something that isn't working as intended.
