If you want something special as a halloween decoration this year you might ask this US farmer (guy with the red cap) from Henniker in New Hemphshire if he can spare his monster pumpkin:

This puppy weighs about 1300 lbs. Lots of pumpkin pie for at least 2 years! ;)

Ugh, that would be the worst tasting pumpkin pie ever. The pie pumpkins are small, they have the high sugar content. These monster varieties are grown specifically for competitions, not for flavor. I've heard of people paying like $500 for a single seed in the hopes that next year their's will be the biggest pumpkin.

I can't wait though, pumpkin season is right around the corner!:D

I didn't know that... here in Germany pumpkins don't have a tradition. Oh well, us ignorant europeans! ;)

"Please be careful guys, don't want my prized pumkin dropped before the judging. With this there may not be a next year!" :p

"We were just looking at his Steely Dan 'o Lanterns."

I saw this thread and that line from SNL came to mind.

You could make it a walk in horror house for small children, complete with dripping interior ;)
