I use quark everyday, but have a problem with quark passport!
I cannot find any prefs to resolve this problem. If I double click on a pic (modified or not doesnt matter) I am used to getting a dialogue box telling me the pic name. I usually from here use the 'edit original' tab in the diag box to edit the pics in photoshop.

But if I double click the pic box nothing is happening, nought, ziltch, no box appears. I can find the pic using utilities .usage etc but what a pain.

    Any ideas?

You need the 'Edit Original' Xtension. Check first to see whether it's installed and activated in the Xtensions Manager.

If not, download it from www.quark.com

    Good... I'm pleased that's sorted.

For some strange Quark reason, they removed this functionality from Quark 6.0, then reintroduced it as a free Xtension bundled with 6.1 after tons of people got upset about its removal.

Maybe they were hoping to leverage Quark Vista with it. After all, if you can make non-destructive edits to images from within Quark then you don't need to edit the original, right?

Anyhow, glad that worked out for you. :)
