Hey, have a quick question for all of you experts out there. The school I am currently at does not allow students to have their own wireless acess. My question is, is their anyway that they can even tell that I would have an airport or airport express base station connected to the network rather than a computer?
Thanks

if they know what they are doing then they can probably figure it out, but then again most schools aren't too strict on this so long as they dont see or know about the wireless access point, but i personally wouldnt try and mess around witht thier stuff, could get you into trouble

I have also heard of students decreasing their antenna strength so that the coverage did not extend beyond their room. I'm not sure if that helps, but the students I spoke with seemed to think so.
