Is there a way to enable to 2 finger swipe to the left to see the notifications on the older MBP? I have a non-unibody MBP and can't seem to do this.

Also, the three finger swipe doesn't seem to work.

And finally, how do you go about changing he way you two finger scroll? It's reversed on me so swiping up on a page scrolls it down. There's no option to change in the system preferences. {EDIT: Found the option.}

I'm also kinda bummed the time left on the battery charge is gone but all is well with ML.

Three finger gestures go to: System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures

With the scrolling go to: System Preferences > Trackpad > Scroll & Zoom > check or uncheck "Scroll direction: natural"
