Just wondering from the pro's in the field if I should calibrate my screen on my 2009 MBP? I am a graphic design student with a passion for photography. I really only use my laptop's screen and rarely use my 19" POS LG external screen.

Just wondering if it would be worth it? I have 2 in mind... Spyder3 Express (less money) or the Spyder3 Pro. Thoughts? Keep in mind I am a college student, so the cheaper the better!

    Thanks!

It's hard to argue against calibrating a monitor.

The one thing I can tell you is not to go with the HueyPRO. My company went with one of these for me when I asked for a screen calibration device, and what I can tell you is while it works, I feels as I could get much better results if they spent a little more money. You get what you pay for.

Also what screen do you have? is it the anti-glare or the glossy? Personal preference, I hate the glossy. It feels super saturated and calibrations is a must. The anti glare is better, but I highly recommend a calibration.

I did a few searches on the HueyPro, looks like it gives many people with Mac's a pinkish color haha I ruled that one out.

I also have the glossy screen, its not too bad though lol Can't say I would mind the anti-glare one tho. At the time it would have been almost a month wait, and my old dell had just died haha

    Thanks for your help!
