Can't remember for the life of me what it's called, and i have to record a lecture in 40 minutes! It was installed on my iBooks, but I don't think my PB has anything I can just grab sounds from the mic in with... does it?

N.B. if it doesn't, please point me to one which can :(

I'm recording from a minidisc player plugged into line-in as I speak. I use sound studio from felt tip software (www.felttip.com).

That's the monkey! Thankyou sirs for your prompt answers. Sound studio came for free with my freaking iBook, now I have to pay for it after buying one of the pro line?

First Appleworks, now this. Screwed up.

Well... your new computer probably came with GarageBand, which I would assume does everything that Sound Studio did, plus much much more. It's not that surprising that Apple doesn't include Sound Studio. ;)
