3 media players, QT, DVD player, and Real player plays no sound, the picture is OK though VLC works ok. Anyone who knows something I´ll be very thakfull!

It all started with upgradig to quick time 7.1.4, . Then NO AUDIO for the .mov files (and I have a lot of them!) since I have Final Cut pro. Then all the Pro features from QT I hade disapeared untill i installed n upgrade FCP 5 to 5.1. hoping that the sounfd will return. But it didnt. I have uppgraded to the latest version of OSX10.4.7 and QT 7.1.4. several times. Checked all the settings and all that. Used disk utilities and all that.
How can it be so dificult to just install QT an play .mov files.
I mean, how should it look in the components folder for QT 7.1.4? can some one grab a picture of it or something please.

    Quick time issue again

Mmm, I have 29 components in my folders Library/quicktime sinse I have final Cut pro, I gess.
    Ohh!
I don´t get it. I´ve hear about restarting the compurer resseting the parapeters of the RAM memory. That soudl give me zero custom settings for the sound. I´m I on hte right way?

I checked it agian and I have 3 QT folders with componets. one in the main library with 29 comps. one in the Sintem/library with 15 (all yours I have them) and 7-9 in the in the previous system that I dont use (I think)
    How should it be?

IIRC, there is an issue with Garageband. Search this forum for Garageband and a workaround for this problem.

Quicktime problems remain! Any genious out there?.

Thanks for the help. I could not fing anything useful. I found out that in the MIDI settings the volume reglage is transparent. I isntalled Garageband 1 an tryed to solv it. Starting and quitting it. din´t work.

I later Open Activity Monitor and quit the "coreaudiod" process, as I read somewere. Nothing either. Now I´m getting tired. Any genious out there??

Still no audio in QT, DVD player, real player and NO AUDIO ON A BURNED DVD (BURNED FROM DVD stidio pro 4)
