Hello, everybody.

I've got one of the 17" Intel iMacs, which I bought with 1 GB of Apple RAM already installed. I was hoping to buy another 1 GB stick from newegg (the one at this link) to bring the total up to 2 GB. Here's the thing, though. I seem to recall reading that it's best to make sure that your sticks of RAM are matched for optimum performance. Does that mean that the combination of sticks that I mentioned above (1 gig Apple and 1 gig from newegg) are not the best possible combination? Would I be better off buying two from newegg and just using those? Or are those basically the same as the Apple ones?

Matched means they are the same size, not the same manufacturer.

Ah, okay, I suspected as much, just wanted to make sure. That means I only have to buy one. Thanks!
