    Got the 20" inch iMac with 512 ram. Going to put 512 in it tomorrow. How much speed did you notice it increase? In any mac not just the imac.

    I don't think you are going ot notice a speed difference. You'll notice the computer being more responsive and snappy when you have multiple apps running.

    No speed increase per se. It just won't slow down.

    Isn't more responsive and snappy a speed increase?????

    I don't think he meant buy putting a 512MB DIMM in the iMac that its going to take a 1.8GHz G5 to a 2 GHz G5...

    yeah when u multitask you shouuld see the difference as well as boot up times i think

    I didn't want him to think that his computer was going calculate things faster. I guess it is a speed increase, I just think that is a poor way to state it. Anyone know what I'm saying?
