Rapidweaver 3.5 public beta available today

    Hi all,

    The new version of realmac softwares rapidweaver is due for release in beta form today. Cant reccomend it enough over iweb and sandvox.

    Check it out

    (due for release around 12-1 GMT i think)

    Great stuff. Without doubt this is the best web authoring tool for those of us who don't do it professionally.

    Oh, it launches in a couple of hours. LOL. That's why I couldn't find it on their site. Thanks for the URL. Really looking forward to trying this!

    if you have never used rapidweaver download the demo of 3.2 and see how easy it is to use - when 3.5 is unleashed then you will just love the new features :cool:

    • New and improved interface.
    • Image inspector can now add drop shadows and borders to images.
    • 8 new professionally designed graphical themes (these are really, really cool).
    • Greatly enhanced Blog, including permalinks, category count, ping support and more.
    • Link panel can now link directly to blog entries, Podcasts, assets and individual photos.
    • Formatting of images, links and text is now preserved when copying & pasting.
    • Save files are now much smaller, for example this site went from 40MB to just 4.3MB.

    Seems really cool look forward to trying this out!!

    * Added "Open Last Document" option to Preferences.
    * Copy+Paste, Drag+Drop and Undo with attributed strings now work.
    * Typing in sidebar updates more intelligently. (waits for gap in typing)
    * Added a field for placing code at the very top of the document. (i.e. php sessions)
    * Image tags now have width and height attributes.

    * Added iTunes custom fields checkbox to the Blog Podcast sheet (was only on the main Setup sheet).
    * iTunes keywords can now contain commas e.g. 1,2,3 (previously whinged about international characters).
    * Ping support added.
    * Category links in the sidebar now show number of posts. (Optional)
    * Changed main Setup sheet button from save to OK for consistency.
    * Cleaned up bugs with the advanced podcast settings not being displayed properly/crashing in Blog.

    * Re-written to stop spammers taking advantage of php mail security issue.

    * iFrame width can now be set to less than 100%.

    * Fixed quicktime issues regarding the latest version of PC IE 6.
    * Users will no longer hear a short sound clip when adding movies.

    Photo Album Updates

    * Added collapsible large thumbnail view in edit mode.
    * Improved memory and speed issues.
    * Flash slideshow now shows number of images in control area.
    * Now gets photo and album comments directly from iPhoto 5 or greater.
    * Fixed a bug, whereby an album with a movie in it would cause an exception.

    Quicktime Updates

    * Save movie for Fast Start.
    * Fast start caching option added.

    Dan and the team have done a great job on 3.5 (apart from the long lunch they took)

    Going to bump this up as I don't feel it's worht a whole new topic, but can anyone give me any advice on how to fully create a new theme from scratch?
