    Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to create a simple Java applet that reads data coming in through a serial port. What I want to do is read the data coming in and display it in a text field. I have downloaded and installed the javacomm API already. I'd like to get to the point where the users could select the parameters themselves (like the SerialDemo example included with the API), but am willing for now to just settle having to manually input the parameters. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

I was hoping there would be a simple solution to this, but if there isn't, can anyone recommend me to a good resource (books etc)?

    Thanks,

Thanks for your reply. However, it seems as though all of the resources I have thus far encountered are not written with Applets in mind. Any suggestions to steer me in the right direction?

    Thanks again,
