I've wanted to buy a cheap g4 power mac, but when comparing the relative power vs. price of these older power macs vs. even a G4 Mac Mini (and more so the intel Mini), I've always scoffed at the idea of buying an older tower.

So, what is the realistic 'street' value of a stock configuration G4 Quicksilver 800 (256mb/40/cdrw/radeon7500)?

Yeah, it's hard to pony up much more than $200-300 in my mind since you can buy a new mini for $500, which has much more processing power. But there's something to the old g4 towers that still appeal to me (as a 2nd or 3rd system of course).
