I just reenabled the dashboard after a long time in no use land, and it's been a while - so I was wondering, besides the default installed Widgets, what are some useful ones out there?

I used to hate Dashboard but I figure I'll give it one more shot.

My favourites are an iTunes Alarm Clock and a SudokuFun. The one I use most though is the Dictionary widget - it's very convenient.

iStat nano (systat nano or something like that before). Unless you have intel or old computers, it should work fine.

I did download iStat Pro because it's free and has a pink skin, anyways - just a quick q - are these temps in ºF or ºC?

I mostly use the weather widget and the stocks widget

Some funny widgets would be the family guy quotes and the Chuck Norris facts

nano does give that option. ill check on pro.

EDIT: Pro is in Cº. Checked it vs nano. There is no option in pro to change from Fº to Cº. Guess they think PRO's will use it, and most PRO's use Cº (to my knowledge)

I got a widget that is just a rubber chicken....it lays an egg if you click it.

    It's very useful.

    I'm not kidding.

    It depends what you like.

I love iTunes Stats, Capture, iTune!, Flip Count, and iStat Pro.

Ditto that. I use the dictionary widget dozens of time a day, I'm home-schooled and work on my Mac in the day a lot so it comes in handy when doing science, english, ect.

I really love the Fox Trot widget. I watch the Digg widget (I'm really unsure where I got the blue/mainly yellow one I have). Sol for all of my sunrise/sunset needs and Calculon for all of my calculating needs!

i don't get the widgets that just launch websites when you click them. If I wanted to open a browser I would.

Dashdock is my favorite 3rd party widget.

I've been looking for a 'friends quote of the day' widget for ages. I saw someone had one on the 'what does your dashboard look like?' thread, and I still haven't found it. Does anyone know where I can find one from?
    Thanks
    Amy

As you can tell, I'm a big fan of countdowns. And I use Couch Potato so it reminds me when shows are on that I've been meaning to watch, but never remember otherwise.

Sure enough, although your results will really vary with how well it translates information.
