What is a good freeware program for recording audio with the powerbook G4's internal microphone? Or does OS X include a program for recording audio? I know that thet quality probably wont be the best out of the internal microphone, but I would still like to use it to record some stuff where the quality doesn't really matter so much. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I have no idea why they diddn't include it with the OS. To get to the downloads choose the link on the far right that says "soft". I found out about it through macaddict. You can also use line in to record as well. There is one glitch for me though. If you close it by clicking the red circle it say the app quit unexpectedly. I have emailed him and he said he'd work on it. You can just command w or choose file quit instead.

Thanks a lot. I've been looking for a program that can do this for a while.

    Also worth a shot: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/beta.php

It's a completely free app that basically does everything SoundEdit 16 used to do back in the old days... Decent effects, and it works pretty well for a beta version.
