Description:: Friday's launch of the Special Edition red iPod nano appears to have been a hasty one. Unlike the other five Second Generation iPod nanos on the market, which each display an icon matching their body color, the red nano's icon shows up as silver, both in the iTunes sidebar and on the Macintosh desktop...

10.4.9 will probably make it red. Or someone will create a special icon for it...

Most likely an iTunes update. It's an iTunes problem, not an OS problem. Wouldn't surprise me if it happened soon...

Actually it be in a firmware update, the ipod stores an icon file loacally. If that file is deleted howeverm itunes will replace it. I haven't seen ipod icons in itunes resource package, so I'm assuming it's being extracted from a firmware or library file.

I know some people don't have anything better to do, but this could be a new low. I mean, why would anyone go to the bother of posting this?

More to the point, why the hell have I wasted my time posting this.
