My fan seems to ramp up a bit more often and stay a bit too long than I like. I made a thread here
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/671871/

For those who got the refurbished Rev. A air, can you share me your experience with the fan noise/heat? How often and what task you do make the fan ramp up to 6200rpm and how long does it take it to go back to silent mode (2500 rpm) after you finish your heavy tasks?

Thanks,
rivet

My fan revs up when I install big apps using Airdisk (lots of wireless and internal drive activity). It quiets down about 5 minutes after that activity. I don't use my MBA to watch more than a few video clips from YouTube and the iTunes store - I have an :apple:TV for watching movies and I have an iMac for heavy lifting.;)

No heating/core shutdown issues for my use of my refurb MBA Rev A.
