Refurb Mac prices drop....

    Basic macbooks were 899.00 now they are 799.00

    MBPs too

    The 2.0Ghz 15" used to be 1449, now it is 1349...

    Hmmm.... is Santa Rosa coming early? :confused:

    Thats what i am hoping....big drops already...I sold my macbook 1,83 for 845.00 last week :)
    100.00 across the board drops...hummmmmm

    I imagine it's just supply management. It seems too early for an update any time soon.

    I do think something may happen....i need new toys...just bought a imac G4 to hold me over........

    Do you think they would have fixed all those 15" MBPs that were returned because of screen issues? Like the graininess?

    I've personally never seen this issue... but one way or another, the inexorable progress of things suggests that they'll have a variety of return units, doesn't it? They always have before.

    Actually, until a few days ago, basic was $849 and mid $899. The bigger drops were on the mbp. They probably weren't moving enough of low end w/ only $50 dif, and c2d due soon.

    The C2Ds will be more worth it, since 80GB hard drive and 1 GB ram is at least more sane than the old ones.

    Yes, but they have their own set of issues (wireless encryption is a major problem).

    Don't the C2D MBs have the same pre-N wireless cards as the MBPs?

    Sorry, I was referring to all C2Ds, both MB and MBP.
