My friend just bought a refurb. 3rd gen. nano and it's shipping from shanghai, is this normal? I know new products ship from there so is it a possibility that they're just re-packaging new ones? Thanks

Most Apple products are assembled and shipped from Shanghai.

Update this thread when you get your refurb Nano - let us know how it worked out. :)

so i just checked the serial number on the ipod and it was manufactured in the 2nd to last week in september. by the looks of it and that production date, i believe it's just a repackaged new one they didn't sell.

Just bought a refurb 3rd gen nano (silver) last night, FedEx tracking says it's shipping from Sacramento, not Shanghai.

I hope it's just a repackaged, leftover new one. That'd be cool.
