i bought a refurbished 1 GB iPod Shuffle last month and about a week in it started to act funny. it wouldnt mount in iTunes sometimes and i had to re-dock it about 10 times to get it to show. now when i plug it into my MacBook Pro my kernel panics . here is what is says in Console right before it panics. Code: … kernel USBF: 911. 97 [0x2b16500] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 2 of hub @ location: 0xfd100000) when i plug it into the USB 1.1 port on my white Apple Pro keyboard iTunes recognises it fine and can sync but i get a message saying it will only sync at USB 1.1 speeds (understandable). ive tried different ports but it still happens (sometimes a system freeze instead of a panic, until i pull it out of the dock). BUT when i plug in my older 4G iPod it is recognised and syncs fine in iTunes. whats the deal? is the iPod screwed or is there something wrong with my Mac? thoughts?
