One of the MacRumors users thinks that it's news, for whatever reason. They don't want to create a thread because this makes it official.

If you have something better to submit, then do it. :)

    Pricing

Pricing is wrong compared to the apple store...

Would this imply a significant price drop in the near future?
    A Macbook Pro for $1699, sweet:rolleyes:

    What are you talking about?

I just checked the Special Deals section of the Apple store online. The prices are indeed $1699, $2199, and $2399. What prices do you see at the Apple store? You do realize that these are refurbished units, don't you?

    Refurb macs

Seems like $600.00 off, $700.00 off and $900.00 off is pretty respectable for a refurb. Looks pretty interesting to me.

What do you mean $600 off, $700 off and $900 off?
All I see is $300 or $400 off.

If anyone has bought one refurbed from Apple.com, can you tell me how good the quality control is?

You have to get there at the right time, so check often but the deals are genuine. I'm quite pleased, having bought my PowerBook that way.

It depends on how relevant it is, but many things are posted though not everything. If you consider that the same people have to deal with stories on MacRumors, MacBytes, and song recommendations on DailyTunes, not everything has a chance. :) That's a lot of work.

Can you sell things directly to Apple?

Like products that you bought from them I mean. Like these MBPs or like a G5 or something.

    Refurbished Mac

Hi Superwoman. The site is a >CA site, the apple store in the link is a Canadian one in Cdn funds, so you have to compare against CDN list prices on apple.ca

I could see how you thought it was California though.

    Cheers,

    Rick

I've never had any problems with my refurb PowerMac G5.
Wouldn't think twice about buying another refurb from Apple.

In the last six months, I've purchased a quad, and Intel iMac, both referbs. No complaints yet, but if you can afford the extra $, extend the warranty.
