Hey guys, I just purchased a Macbook Air 11." I've been trying to do the Remote Disc thing and get the Air to recognize the disc drive of my family's Vista computer, but it won't for some reason. I followed Apple's instructions here.

The Vista computer is connected by Ethernet to a wired router which has a wireless router connected to it, which is how my Macbook Air is connecting to the LAN/Internet.

I should still be able to use Remote Disc off the Vista machine right? And if so, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Nevermind

Nevermind I was able to connect to another computer's disc drive, but this computer was on the same wireless local network, maybe in addition to being on the same LAN, they have to be on the same wireless LAN.

Also found out you can't rip CD's using this method. That sucks.
