Can I rip a drive out of a Time Capsule and hook it up to a Mac and mount it? Background: a client of mine just replaced their 1TB Time Capsule with the 2TB model. They'd like to hang on to the data on the TC as an archive. At first I thought I'd hook up an external 1TB drive to the TC and archive to it, then erase the TC. Thinking I might buy the TC from them and use it myself. But a 1TB TC wouldn't be enough. I've got a 2TB drive already. So rather than buy an extra 1TB drive and copy the TC contents to it, I'd just remove the internal drive and make that the archive. The only question is if I can just mount that like any other Apple formatted drive? Of course I'd use a simple SATA - USB adapter.
