    When the G5 Powerbook comes out they'll have to go from two to nine fans. :D

    IMHO,

    something that should not have to be made and sold to the public. Why? Then the manufacturers of laptops can just be lazy and throw in one of these with every laptop, making it one of those "half-required half-optional" things. I would rather have a laptop that can handle its own heat and also not make me uncomfortable, rather than compromising and buying one of these plastic panels with 2 fans attached to it. It's like high end pc's now, their frickin loud, and none of the hardcore pc modders/gamers are complaining, even though they know that they shouldn't have a pc that sounds like a jetplane at takeoff.
