I bought one of these thinking it would work with Elgato EyeTV but it doesn't as they no longer support this companies new models.

The software that came with it was awful. NO EPG, Picture quality was dire compared to my Nebula DigiTV USB that i use in windows ( no proper scaling or noise reduction, jerky etc) It was stupidly slow to tune at first and also to change channel.

It also says it comes with mediacentral... yeah a mediacentral TRIAL!

It also didnt work out the box with leopard and involved faffing around trying to get the software to update for it to work with leopard. hard when it refused to run under leopard......

Don't waste your money, get one that is supported by elgato eyetv as eyetv looks much more mature, the tube software with this felt like beta.

I bought the Elgato Hyrbid and I do not regret it. We use our 24" iMac as a TV in the bedroom now, plus I rip a TON of my favorite TV shows to my iPhone.

It hurt at $130 though lol

Well, I wonder if this software works on the DTT in New Zealand, which uses MPEG4 compression for HD signals - which EyeTV doesn't support unfortunately...
