I've been searching for ages now, to try and find drivers for Rio 600, for Mac OS X. But yet im having no success. The only thing i've found is "SoundJam MP for Rio 2.5.1.sea" - which for some reason my stuffit expander doesn't want to expand.

Am i being an idiot? or does software for this actually exist?

Any help would be....well...better then Rio 600 :|

    Cheers

I've had a Rio 300, 500, and 600. All of which are now paperweights, victims of some internal undoing. I damn near babied them and now look, kaput. I'm never buying anything ever again from Sonicblue formerly Diamond Multimedia. As for the drivers, sorry can't help you bro. I'd have to agree, ditch the Rio and buy an iPod.

    -64mb/128mb does not equal 10GB. Booyah!:D

I got my Rio500 about 3 and a half years ago and it's still working fine despite being dropped and manhandled many times. However, doesn't get much use because I got an ipod a year ago.

In any case, I never had to download drivers for it for OSX. I just plugged the cable in an iTunes automatically recognized it. I don't know if that's the same for the 600 though.

Mine always worked perfectly with iTunes when plugged in.

I got it free with my iBook so when I got an iPod I had no qualms about throwing it by the wayside (actually gave it to my sister). Then one day she was using it and it stopped working. Thankfully, I bought the Best Buy warranty, so I can get it replaced for something or other. Just have to find the paperwork...

The .sea file is actually a "self extracting archive". All you have to do is double click it.
