ok, So I went out a bought WoW, Installed it only for their online account thing to say that my activation Code was invalid and had already been taken (yes, the one in the ****ing box). I finally got a hold of sombody at Blizzard that told me that this happens a lot due to the fact that there is some coded pattern that people on the internet found out and that they had created activation key generators that were creating other peoples activation keys...

So, if anybody out there has a unused activation Key I could use I would be excedingly greatfull. I already even also bought a time card and stuff like that.... and in return if there is any favor I can do for you, ASK, I'm not sure how much there is I can do that does not exceed the price of WoW, but if you can think of anything..... ??

So, if anybody has any pitty on my ripped off soul, PLEASE PM me a Activation Code. And if so, you rock

This might not be what you are looking for but...would you like my account?

I played on a US server for a bit but really should not be playing at all!

Highest char is only a 24 hunter.

There is about 100 gold and various nice items, spread over the chars.

Erm... without downplaying Allotriophagy's generosity at all... if you purchased a copy and have proof of purchase, we need you to make Blizzard give you access or your money back. They need to take responsibility for this. You don't need to be getting account codes from people on the net....

I have a level 60 warlock with full teir 2.5 (AQ40 gear), best 1 hand sword from naxx which puts him at around +600 spell damage. You can use him if you want?

    Just joking.

Your best bet is to contact the retail store you bought it from they might replace it.

    Well, something like that!

I played ages ago and got bored and got rid of the account. But then I got a 14 day US trial and played in a Mac guild for a bit. Upgraded to the full version for $40, bought some gold from Chinese farmers (yes, terrible I know but 300 gold for $20 is a bargain), pimped out my hunter and then...got bored. It is not as much fun without your friends.

I'm perfectly ready to write off the $60 (which is only about £30 anyway) and spend my time crapping myself every time I go up a staircaise in F.E.A.R.

Yea, I wish. Blizzard basicly just told me to suck it and its not their fault that another person was able to "Guess" their Activation Codes. The Game aint exactly cheep either

Is it really that addictive? I've never played it as I doubt my Macbook would be up to it  :(

Try again. It IS their fault because they could have made key codes that were harder to "guess." You paid, and they owe you a code that works.

Truthfully, I just feel a bit stupid about trying to get back into it. I enjoyed playing my priest in the EU, with my long-time guild with whom I had played other games with. I feel a bit lonely on the US servers, due to the time difference. Not even my vast piles of gold helped. I would log in, run around for a bit, get fed up, log out. Then do it again an hour or a day later.

I should have just stayed away from it, really. I have to concentrate on uni. It can be extremely addictive if you enjoy your character, have people to say hi to you when you log in, have people to chat to whilst you grind. But generally it does feel like you are throwing time into a hole if you do not have the "social" side of it to distract you.

Anyway, he has taken the account details from me on AIM and will change the pass. And I can uninstall it from my computer. Woohoo! I AM FREEEEE.

Exactly. Call again, make it clear you have the original key on the CD/certificate/wherever they put it and tell them you would like it replaced. They can deactivate keys, and issue new ones, so demand they invalidate the one that was in your box and issue a new one. It's a zero sum game for them, and you get what you paid for, while some scammer gets what he deserves: nothing.

Offer to fax or scan and email in a copy of your key certificate/cd back or where the key is printed, along with your reciept if you still have it. If they still say no, threaten to call the BBB, your state's AG, or your lawyer.

    right on.

You are a valid paying customer, and deserve a working game.

If that is not possible due to access code theft, that is Blizzard's responsibility to fix or work around - not yours.

Don't do their work for them. Tell them you have a proof of purchase, the box, everything, and would be cooperative in proving that in return that THEY make your game work.

The customer shouldn't have to jump through hoops and get on the net in search of work-arounds due to corporate incompetency.

I have a MacBook, it plays fine. Get about 15 fps outdoors and 30 fps indoors. And yes, it is that addictive, at least for a while. I usually start getting bored after a few weeks though (I've played a night elf druid to level 24, an orc warlock to level 37, and a gnome rogue to level 27).

Or ends at 60, depending on what you like.

    I've got a 60 rogue, 40 warlock, 29 hunter, 28 shaman, and 14 mage.

I prefer leveling and pre-raid instances to the raid content.

At 60, all there is left to do is raid or PvP - both of which will put the "grind" you think leveling is to shame.

I'd rather invest 4 hours into leveling, getting new gear, spells, abilities, and new content than spend 4 hours in the time-sink of raiding for the *chance* to get a new item :)

    This is BS.

Janitor, I work at EBGames/Gamestop as a manager. If you bought it there or at best buy or any other store, Simply return the game, bring your receit and they they will give you a new one.

i think you might have bought the game from someone else but they didnt gave u the account. if that is so, you were ripped off.

And for all of you, World of Warcraft is only $19.99

I have a 60 shammy and a 60 pali in malganis and crushridge respectively... i think the real game begins at 60, but it depends if you have a cool guild to hang with, and that sometimes is not the case.

My guild made sure everyone that is an officer in the game got thir noxramas tiered armor... (tier 3). and now we are helping others get their respective armors.

But the most important part of the game which has become lost in all the leveling is the story behind it. So I have started doing the story line quests and pretty much look forward to the Buring Crusade Expansion to finish the story line, and then I will go into pvp and what not.

WoW is an awesome game there is stuff for everyone to do, that is why it has become so successfull.

My free time exists. And it is finite. As far as I am concerned, I didn't pay for "something that doesn't exist" but for some other person or people to sit and click buttons on my behalf and transfer the benefit to me.

As for Mac guilds - www.clan-mac.com I think is the website.

    U're the worst liar i've come across. And here's why;

    1) Given the key generator is real, you mention of no solution that the rep should of given you regarding the issue.

    2) Your forum status stirs suspicion.

    3) I feel/see no genuine sincerity in your post because you sound like u're just begging.

    4) Stop being a n00b/troll and go away.

No one is gonna give you a free WOW key. As a matter of fact, I have never heard of any such thing of a serial generator in wow yet, so ya.
