    Sounds like Tenet and the folks at the CIA are going to be the fall guys. After all he was a leftover from the Clinton administration and therefore it's all Clinton's fault!

    Wasn't Rumsfeld also running a "second CIA" of sorts out of the Defense Department because he and the other neocons were sick of the risk-aversion (and possibly the truth-telling) tendancies of the real CIA?

    The CIA didn't used to tell lthe truth or avert risk.
    After they discovered the consequences (i.e. blowback), they decided it'd be better to follow some guidelines. Perhaps the White House is just now learning those same lessons.

    yes. the name escapes me for the moment, but i do know it's not the Defense Intelligence Agency. that's something else.

    Actually that may be one of the unintended consequences of the California campaign, as well as an indicator of how much the economy matters to voters.

    Almost all of the arguments made against Davis can be made against Bush, ie. lied about budget numbers, ran a surplus into a defecit etc.

    You can bet the Dems will be hammering Bush with the same weapons that were used against Davis.

    we can spend 87 billion on this crazy fool we have yet to get but dont have universal healthcare? but then again do you really want our govt managing anything other then politics/war ???
