safari: 346 mb of real memory

    It climbs up there pretty quick after some regular web browsing..

    Normal? Seems like it is, but then again...

    Dont think so, it only uses 45MB on my 1.33ghz 14" iBook G4 w/ 768MB Ram

    It's normal if you've had Safari open for quite a while.

    Yeah, it climbs up real quick in memory usage if you do a lot of browsing. Just quit it and restart it once a day.

    I quit it like, 4-5 times a day... so, this might not be right.

    memory usage also depends on the websites you are browsing, try to note which site you frequently visit, and observe the memory usage with activity monitor. Maybe its a single site that safari just really doesn't like.
