Just for fun, I decided to compare the default bookmarks in Safari 6 with the previous version. Safari 6 Apple iCloud Facebook Twitter Wikipedia Yahoo! News AllThingsD BBC CNN ESPN NPR USA Today The Wall Street Journal Popular Amazon Disney eBay Flickr Rotten Tomatoes The Weather Channel Yelp Safari 5 Apple Yahoo! Google Maps YouTube Wikipedia News CNN The New York Times Google News CNET News.com ESPN Los Angeles Times BBC News NPR USA Today Popular eBay Amazon Flickr Expedia Travel Orbitz Facebook Monster Jobs CareerBuilder Disney craigslist What is immediately obvious is that all Google sites are gone (Maps, News, YouTube). New York Times (previously one of Steve's favourite sites, before they reported on Foxconn working conditions and Apple's tax evasion) is replaced with always Apple-favorable WSJ and AllThingsD. And Facebook is promoted out of a folder to a third place after Apple home page and iCloud. Isn't it amusing how the new default bookmarks reflect the changes in Apple's relationships with other companies?
