Most websites I visit now cause the "A Problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded" to occur. And I get the "Safari Web Content quit unexpectedly." pop up window.

I was barely able to get Macrumors.com to load and get this post started.

I ran the update yesterday for Safari 9.1, iTunes 12.3.3, and Security update 2016-002. And then the problems began.

Running Mavericks 10.9.5

No Problems with Chrome Browser.

See if there is any update for Flash Player (if you have Flash installed on your Mac)

Also, turn off iCloud sync for Safari.

Boot into Safe Mode to see if the problem is still present. If not, some 3rd party app is causing the crash. If the problem still persists, then the update could have messed up something...

From my personal experience, such Safari crashes occur time to time on my iMac with 10.8.5. On Console, the error messages appear as "Webkit" or "WebProcess" crash. This seems to occur when Flash-heavy contents are present on the webpages.

I can't update flash player cause the web page wouldn't load, lol.

I'll fire up Chrome and download it.

UPDATE:
flash player update did nothing to fix it.

still have many website that just won't load, cnn.com, espn.com
usatoday.com works but weekly.com doesn't

i booted into safe mode. Safari is very slow and seems to be reloading individual parts (mostly the ads) of webpages.
cnn.com and weekly.com DO load but its very slow. And typing in this reply requires the ad just above reload multiple times before each letter i type.
[doublepost=1458761100][/doublepost]i booted back into normal mode, and i removed a bunch of old plugins which doesn't seem to have helped.
i turned off java script which did help, but websites don't quite look right.

so problem persists

I logged out of my user, and logged in as a different user, and Safari works fine. loads all pages.
Seems there is something wrong with MY users Safari...

What do I do now?

Hi. Sorry, I missed your post on safe mode yesterday.

So, Safari is "very slow" in safe mode, but everything is fine with different user account?

Delete the Safari cache.db file by navigating to Library/Cache/com.apple.Safari. And reset Safari (delete all cookies, website data, etc.)

nope, i deleted...
Library/Cache/com.apple.Safari
Library/Safari/
Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari

still doesnt load cnn.com and others

Ah.... I'm sorry these couldn't help. That's all the troubleshooting tips I can offer..

Hopefully others can chime in for help.

Or you can call Apple for assistance.

[doublepost=1487202658][/doublepost]Hi, it's been a long time, but I just had the same problem. Two items:

1. Did you ever resolve the problem?

2. Here's a link I came across that may help you or me. I only have 2 Safari extensions but disabled one called "Deanimator" and for the first few minutes the problem hasn't come back. This link has some other ideas also.

Best wishes,
