Well title is self explanatory. Why did they get rid of the .com shortcut when typing in an address and is it available anywhere.. Beginning to dislike ios more and more. Slower... Less intuitive...,just dumb.

Hold down on the .

Just hold down ".".

That's what happens when you get a unified url/search field.

It's actually more flexible now. Holding down the '.' key gives you the option to quickly choose any of the common TLDs, though it does default to .com, so requires no additional input from you.

I'm pretty sure you could always hold down and get the rest. Although the delay you must hold now seems reduced.
