i was thinking about a "safe" backup different from TM before last transmission news, since crypt software can crypt TM backup, external HDD and network disk i guess a good option could be an encrypted DMG

i know that CCC can backup in encrypted DMG, i could make a full backup once a week but i'm not sure if is possible to keep last 4 of them

as an alternative would it be safe to create a shared disk on NAS + an account that can access only this disk and provide access to this disk to CCC for back?

not sure which other options i could evaluate

I make regular backups with SuperDuper to external disks and do round robin of the disks. My important info in encrypted on the disks, but not the whole disk. I do close to daily/weekly/monthly backups

i guess that every non encrypt data on disk can by encrypt from malware not sure if already script data could be reencrypt

encrypt DMG is not accessible if you don't know access key and i can leave storage attach to my mac
