My prayers go out to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Saul Bellow was an excellent intellectual writer of the 20th century. He was a three-time National Book Award winner. A resident of Boston since 1993. My wife had the privilege of meeting him, she said that they had a nice conversation. She usually wears a safari jacket, because it allows her to carry a lot of items. Saul commented that it was unusual to see a nurse in a safari jacket. Her comment was the it matched his safari pants.
