This article from Fox News seems a bit far fetched - but if the deal did materialize it would definitely mess up my plans. I want to get away from Windows - I sure hope this doesn't happen!

Sorry, I'm new to Mac and this was the first time I had ever seen an article regarding the topic - didn't mean to step on any toes.

Anything that comes from Dvorak I take with a grain of salt.

I think OS X will be sold for the PC before Steve would let Windows run on mac hardware. This article is backward thinking, not surprising coming from Dvorak.

That's kind of what I was thinking when I read it. I know this may stir up some hard feelings - but I wouldn't mind seeing Mac OS X available for individual sale to install on whatever machine the license owner wanted; however, I would still rather opt for buying an Apple-built machine for the aethetic value and ease-of-use.

no way in hell would apple do that. apple hardware is expensive but the main reason people buy it is because their software kicks ass... why would they ever do that?
