hello,

I have recently brought a macbook and plan to use final cut on it. if i'm out and about with it and don't have my portable HD to use as a scratch disk will it be much slower using the internal HD?

cheers

For general editing, I wouldn't expect much of a difference in speed. During rendering, yes it will be slower because you're both reading and writing to the same disk.

But unless you're working in HDV with a lot of filters on it or something, it wouldn't be anything so drastic as to make it unusable.
