Well my brother's friend was over today and took what looks like a little chunk out of the LCD display. Now that spot is blurred. Is there any way to repair this?

    Has anyone tried this?

If it is just on the top surface of the screen you could try different cleaners, but for my iPod, I haven't had any luck on any of them working.

AppleSauce worked wonders on my iPod. It just takes a little patience. Unfortunately it won't work on TFT's.

DO NOT USE DISPLEX!      ;)

That stuff was all the rage when the iPod nano and 5G iPods came out. People claimed it takes out the scratches but Displex is ABRAISIVE and on the iPod screens - completley ruined them. On the 5G iPods (after Displex treatment) the screens were rendered unusable!

    If using Displex beware!

Of course it's and abrasive. How else would it get the scratches out? AppleSauce is an abrasive too and as I said it worked wonders on my iPod.

Haha, it's not that bad. It's about the size of an "r" in safari's address bar.I just want it gone!

I can do wonders with car finishes, but screens are transparten...
Isn't there some glass covering the LCD-Panel on iMacs? I wouldn't try these wonder lotions. They're good for plastic (iPods, cell phones etx) but I'd be very careful here.

On the iMacs the screen is exposed like a laptop's screen.
