Hi I have a Powerbook G4, operating on the latest Tiger OS 10.4.8. Lately, all of a sudden, whenever I wake up my computer from sleep and open an application, these pixels show up all over the screen. They continue to pop up where I move my mouse. Sometimes it overwhelms my computer and it either freezes or I get a kernal panic. Other times if I keep opening things the new windows make the pixels disappear. I took some screenshots because I had no idea what it is. It especially likes to happen in Safari I think, though it has occurred in other applications as well. I found another post and this person had the same problem (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=256877) but never had it resolved and replaced it under warranty. Her screen shot is a minute version of my pixel problem, but you can see on the middle-right the green pixels sprouting up.

Does it occur in Safe Mode (boot holding SHIFT) and is reinstalling the OS an option? :)
