I am trying this automator scricpt from apple.com.
I get the following error message when I run it. Any ideas?

screencapture: illegal usage, file required if not going to clipboard
usage: screencapture [-icmwsWx] [files]
-i capture screen interactively, by selection or window
control key - causes screen shot to go to clipboard
space key - toggle between mouse selection and
window selection modes
escape key - cancels interactive screen shot
-c force screen capture to go to the clipboard
-m only capture the main monitor, undefined if -i is set
-w only allow window selection mode
-s only allow mouse selection mode
-W start interaction in window selection mode
-x do not play sounds
-S in window capture mode, capture the screen not the window
-C capture the cursor as well as the screen. only in non-interactive modes
-t<format> image format to create, default is png
files where to save the screen capture, 1 file per screen (1)

'kay, I found the workflow you were referring to. When you open the .dmg, you should see a file called ScreenShot Sender 1.1.workflow. Opening this file will bring up Automator, and you will notice some stuff on the right hand side.

Take a look at the second item in the workflow, called "Take Screenshot," in the "Save To" drop down box, you should see "Picture 1." Click the drop down and click "New..." and choose a place to save the temporary file (and give it a name, too).

Once you do that, click "File" and then click "Save As..." Put in a name for the application file, and then under the "File Format" drop down, be sure it says "Application." I've attached two screenshots to illustrate what I mean. (This step is actually optional, but it's not a bad idea if you're going to use it for future reference.)

EDIT: Actually, that's one thing that this workflow does NOT do and that is to delete the temporary file. Still looking forward to that "Variables" option in Automator 2.0. ;)

so its really the 'Save To' field that is causing the error. interesting.
thanks for the help.
