    Retro iPods

I think the new Nanos look quite retro - they look almost exactly the same as the mini only slimmer. Is this possibly the first time Apple have back tracked on their design concepts? Whatever next? - Flat screen Intel iMacs in translucent tangerine, blueberry and lemon? (I'm sure there are many Macfans who would sell their souls for one of those babies).

As much as I like the new matte black Nano, I don't think we would have seen the "retro" look if not for the scratching issues on the first gen Nanos.

With the 10th anniversary of the iMac coming up in a couple years, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Apple offered iMacs in the retro colors.

I agree - you'd think after all the stick Apple got after the 'scratching scandal' that they would have invested in developing a non-scratch surface. How hard can it be? They've got enough $$ in the bank.

Personally, I prefer the look and feel of the shiny plastic nanos...
